Hope its not too late .. cant do my blog coz my entries are too long .. ^^ wait till next year when i get the time .. dear me .. the WYSC has passed and Ramaraj did our school proud by being the second runner-up.. kudos .. Sean had 20+th while i got 19th .. lolZ .. nothing to brag about .. i made a christmas rap song that i will post in my blog and this one , hopefully by next year .. i have this nudging feeling that some ppl wont like the song very much .. i can tell by the previous respond... lolZ .. or is it just me ?? touching.. touching... what the heck ???! .. Form 5's coming which means SPM is coming .. i memorised konserto terakhir and the pearl already just becoz i have nothing else better to do ( mark of an idiot trying to be a smart noob.. i mean nerd lolZ..)

from my past to my future

It has been a long time since I last posted up a blog. I am in Penang now. Wanted to meet Yin Kuan so much but I could not make it even we are on the same island. However, this means that we should have a chance to meet you all. A surprise or a mysterious visit :P

Although dislike the feeling of living on this 'square' island, life like this makes me have a lot of reflection. Looking back, I still could not that I made it. I still could not believe that I was a trainee of 4C and 4I. How unfortunate they were to have me! xD I sit back and smile as I have done my teaching practice. My result is out a few days ago. I did not get the best grade but I know that Mr. Param has given me what I deserve. I want to show you all my result coz it was our project to make it but it took me a long time to wait for the page to load *sigh* I think it is due to the registration day of UM that the webpage went crazy. I will try to show you all next time.

Thinking back, I was out of mind. I slept in the afternoon after teaching practice then woke up to continue to do lesson plans, daily things, spent time with beloved people then take a nap. Woke up 3am or 4am to mark books or redo lesson plans or look up more information about the topics I will be teaching in the class. Didn't do any shopping other than grocery shopping for the whole sem, didn't swim, eat well or sleep well. I even dreamt of the classroom situation. 

This kind of life scared me. I think I didn't cope well. I salute teachers who are already teachers and they still could cope so well. Sometimes people look at teaching as if just a job, it seems to be easy, it seems to be rountine, it seems to be no challenge, it seems to be just a job to let another person carries on a static or boring life. Whatever it is, I still respect the position of teacher and the profession of teaching. I still doubt whether I can be a government school teacher in the future. 

HAppy times .. sad times .. funtimes .. holidays explain it all!

Its da holidays... and we are all having the time of our lives .. well some of us .. most of us .. all of us .. Just writing this to show some activity and to announce that its CCW , Alex and Shawn's birthday this month ( at least as far as i know ) lolZ.. CCw and Alex share the same date ( 17th november ) while shawn is 20th of november .. Happy birthday to all of them .. belated for alex and CCW .. thats all !!

Last

We've been through weeks and weeeeeeeeeeks of hell, and now, FINALLY its going to be over. Tomorrow will be our very last day of exam (which also means last day of school for me).

wazzup y'all?/ how are exams so far? :P kinda weird about me asking this question right? lol.. it's coz i was in the hospital for 4 days of exams.. XD BUT, anyway, i'm okay now..stupid food poisoning.. T.T dunno wth was wrong with the food i ate..oh, and sorry if i ter-curse ibn this post yea.. :P as i mentioned in ma title, i was listening to 'slim shady' while posting this shit..woops..sorry..ma bad..ekeke..anyway, i was really encouraged when ma bud CCW gave me a call to the HOSPITAl..ekeke..

i was like. "WHAT THE HELL?!" LOL..but, i was touched though..not LITERALLY, it's a figure of speech.. :P sorry, abit high.blame it on slim..ekeke..anyway, yea..i'm SORTA up and about now..hehe..anyway, moving on..good rest in the hospital, no studying, i will though..I THINK.. sooner or later la..BUT most likely LATER.. Ah , the skin has changed ..

anyway .. a little cover up on the recent exams .. BIO paper 1 is gay .. The standard was way high .. even Ram had 10 mistakes . ( so did me , sean and suman , so we think :) ) BM paper 1 n 2 are in the bag ( paper 2 was tantalising ) .. PJ was hilarious .. Add maths was potong steam .. and accounts was frustrating for me .. made careless mistakes .. oh and MORAL rocks !!

I wonder Seafield still remember me or not after leaving them for about a month. 

I am working now. Taken two different jobs at a time. I come home late everyday. Tired and not much time to think. Craving for good sleep and more sleep.

I work as barista in the morning til evening then as florist in late evening til night. This is my every day rountine and time schedule. I have a rountine yet I have to meet unexpected needs for 3 different bosses and serve different poeple with diverse intention, request and taste. I switch in minutes to contrast working environment and serving people. I am thankful that the poeple I work with are nice and polite to me. It is much better compare to my previous working experience in Metrojaya, Pizza Hut and A+3 boutique in Penang. 

Rough, fast and SOP in the morning and noon then delicate, gentle and soft in the late evening til night. As barista, I just have to follow sop BUT I have to memorize many and it is always subjective to make coffee and it is always not the same. My hands are burnt due to the 200 'F or 90 to 98 'c of hot water when making expresso and latte from Cimbali. In fact, most baristas encounter this burnt on their hands and fingers. As florist, I have to think to be creative and gentle to each things I touch. Each customer comes in with a heart to buy beautiful and fragile fresh flowers for special poeple and occasions, we will help them to find the right flowers and hampers for the right personality and occasions. Each time I introduce our fresh and unique imported fruits in our florist to customers hoping that they would purchase and feel worth it to buy them.  

The Craziest thing I have done as barista:
1. Drank 4 shots of expresso and cappucino (still sleep at night :P ) 
2. Stole bread in the kitchen coz I was super hungry... the manager laughed at me... but I was REALLY hungry coz it was a busy day of work.
3. Made my own latte and ran to toilet after 30 min... LOL! I learnt my lesson... follow SOP is the way. 

The craziest thing I have done as florist:
1. First day of work, I welcomed and talked to a ham sap lou! I did not know and served him politely as customer... until... he left and the lady in our shop... told me... the following days til now, he only wants me to serve him and always pretends to wait until I enter the shop then here he comes to buy things! That is CRAZY AND CRAZY!
2. I nearly yell back at a unreasonable customer... I was so frustated that I pretended I do not know anything and left it to my supervisor to settle it... I felt like throwing my apron on his face and called my boss... I want to quit and run home... coz that is the rules and conditions set by my boss... not me! But, poeple tend to forget that and yell back at me when they do not agree with the price... In the end, I hold it back knowing that I was emotional coz this is life.
3. I told a customer that the  fruits are organic but the fact is... I read wrongly! The upper shelf is not organic fruits... only the apples and oranges on the second shelf... and the cuttest thing is the customer believed in me... LOL! my collegues laughed at me so hard that they cried... LOL....

The Hottest thing I have done as barista: Hot til I burnt my own soft and delicate hands  :,( scar...my hands used to be known as soft and gentle... I lose my crown for that already... so, it is the hottest fault, isn't it? 

Poeple yell at you at work sometimes... customers complain with weird weird reasons... Sometimes I made mistakes... feeling bad and hide myself in the kitchen... 

I empathy more for foreign labourers and Indonesian maids. The stress and helpless situation are more or less the same like I feel. In fact, they feel more difficult as they do not know our language most of the time. They have to work and please their masters every day for their every work yet getting a low salary. At the same time, some of them do not have healthy and clean working environment and their welfare is not taken care of. I have to fulfil the expectation from different bosses and I have to response and behave according to their mood and things they want. You could have brillant ideas yet they would not even bother coz you are just a worker, you could make mistakes and being blasted the next minute and you could even make mistakes that you did not know and others, who do not give you chance to learn, poke you at your back. I could still blog about it, tell friends and family how I feel and friends who are supportive to help and comfort me. But, what about those who have no friends in this foreign land? What about their welfare and their feelings? They signed the 'no turning back' contract to be labourers or maids. Sometimes some of us tend to forget that they are just as forgetful or unskillful as many of us so we being wasteful and unreasonable. They are also human who are equally the same like others in God's presence. 

:) This is so far I want to share... lots of things to do ... gotto go to bed first... night night to all of you... all the best for revision and exams... miss you all

  Now , as the day draws nigh , the exams have appeared out of nowhere .. though i am sure , many of us have been anticipating this torturous marathon .. i'm talking about us Form 4's .. clearly as we can see from our timetables , the duration is a whole freaking month .. 

 I wish no ill wishes , but merely to wish good luck to all Form 4s around the whole Malaysia ... a very good luck to all of you and i certainly hope that you give it your best in this accursed examinations .. LOLZ .. pardon me ... it seems that in my haste , i just had to swear .. 

  Enjoy your exams and live out your holidays..

You and I

I heard that Pn. Thilaham shared her thoughts with you all about my decision in teaching in the future. This is why I write this blog today.

Dragging myself back from work and resting my butt and feet now under my table... But, the fingers are working again. Thanks to the invention of computers. Ever since then, the fingers of mankind have to work more than ever... LOL...

I dreamt of you all last night! In my dream, we were in the form 3 class and Aaron wsa still with his poor legs. I saw many many many of you. Carmen and Hsien Wei who were laughing and singing in my dream!!! XD... LOL!!! I cannot stop laughing thinking of that. Hsien Wei looked very happy and sing out loud... LOL... I wonder why Jasmine was so quiet in my dream... HAHA... It was my dream after all... HAHA... Well, I guess I just miss you all... 

Let me tell you all again. It is not because of teaching you all I might give up teaching. I do not deny that it is not a great passion and dream since young; however, there is a calling and some burning passion in teaching. I enjoy too to come to know you all and to teach you. It was a great experience ;)

Teaching is always challenging no matter who are the students. There are many factors I would want to go for teaching; at the same time, there are many reasons I would choose other career or prefession after I graduate. I wish to go to poorer places to teach because I do see the need of teachers at those places. Education is meant for everyone :) 

Never take any teacher for granted. Teachers choose teaching NOT because they do not have jobs. If you ever meet teachers who tell you that he or she takes up teaching because he or she does not have a job, I believe that they still need to search and realise the meaning and beauty of teaching. Sometimes school teachers could not have interesting activity as they really have a lot of classes, paper work, homework to mark and other matters to take care of. Don't think that it is the fault of our country or our education system. Even my friend, who was a Chemistry teacher in HongKong, faced the same hectic work in teaching secondary school. He finally ended being a teacher and choose other career. Teachers in the State face many similar problems too. We still have a lot to learn and practise to improve ourselves to be better and greater. 

If I am given a chance to be a teacher in local secondary, I wish I could be crazy, creative, caring and efficient teacher. My strength comes from God, my passion burns for God and my dreams are driven by Him. If one day in the future you see me in school,  you know where I invest my life ;)

Juno, who is a sixteen-year-old girl, is pregnant after her first time with her best friend, Paulie Blleker. She is mature girl who handles her "premature" pregnancy. Does she choose for abortion or she keeps the baby? You all should watch this movie and look at how these characters act as well as the value of this movie. 

It is up to you to feel and look at the value. I do not agree with some of the value in the movie but I do support the brave action of Juno.

Positive and Negative Stress? Which one? You choose

I know you all will be having exam very soon. I read up some tips to remind you all to cope with the exam stress.

This is taken from a few website and mainly from the BBC 'The ROSE rule'- The shortest and simplest to remember and follow. 

Revise and Recap

Organise time and work

Sleep and rest

Eat healthily

Revise and Recap
Don't do last minute STUDY! You only could do last min revision for all the short notes you have been writing and doing but NOT last minute STUDY! This will add on your stress and anxiety. Do chart and short notes in simple form and all in 1 or 2 blank A4 paper. 

Organise time and work
Getting organised does not mean you must have a routine timetable but make sure you do not miss out the important exam dates and start study what you should. Counting the days would be stressful and frustrating yet I find it useful to make you start to study when the motivation is gone. 

Sleep and rest
Sleep well is important. Do not stay up late too often. Few times is acceptable and understandable but not until you do not even have at least 5 hours of sleep. Rest could be in the form of exercising, sleeping, watching 1 or 2 of your favourite tv show, talking to someone you feel comfortable, chatting, reading, praying and etc. Make sure you have enough and balance. Yet, not too much on chatting and sleeping XD  I recommand exercise, exercise and exercise (can be just walking, cycling, simple strecthing, swimming and etc.) sleep well, talk to poeple you feel comfortable and watch 1 or 2 favourite tv shows ONLY. 

Eat healthily
No drugs, no smoking, no alcohol and no sex! Balance diet, more vegetables, fruits and soya milk or milk. You will definately need more fish and some meat as fish gives more nutrient so it makes you clever XD... Drink plenty of plain water. Drink some tea or coffee each day is acceptable but not more than 1 - 3 cups per day (asian size i mean)

No one could ever escape stress in life. Stress is just another friend after pain. It can be a friend to push us to perform and work better and better or an enermy that make you feel suffering, scared and worry all the time. So, why don't we cope with stress now with a correct way?

Frankly speaking , it works for me .... LOLZ

I spent the one whole week studying SEJARAH ( the accursed subject ) mainly by listening to LP , EMIN3M , One Republic , Ronald Jenkees ( kudos shawn ) as well as Nickelback and VOLA !! I finished till chapter 10 .. everything's in my head and now i have not much worries in the subject anymore .. 

Even though you might face difficulty in understanding how i did it , i'm sure everybody would want to study in a fun surrounding area and not hardcore study freaks style ( CCW is a good example of a freak :P) , I think that as long as you have determination amidst the fun , A1 is in your hands !

Out of comfort zone

I

Just came back from Genting and met some people I miss. Do not laugh and again DO NOT LAUGH. It was the first time to Genting... Well, I come from a strict and protective family so the only way I could go is wait until I pass 21. Well, this is my sharing about my first time step outside my comfort zone. I actually tried most of things that I do not dare to try for the past 20 ++ years.

When I arrived in Genting, everything was new to me. The excitement was high :P When I get myself to the theme park, the first thing we,this bunch of Girls, do was SHOUTing OUT LOUD FOR 'INDEPENDNCE AND TEACHING PRACTICE IS OVER' LOL... The feeling of once again free and the playful character has exploded out all now. HERE WE COME THEME PARK!
Then, the next thing that capture my attention is Spaceshot and Cyclone. Cyclone is my very first roller coaster. Believe it or not. I have never ride on one coz my papa will worry and both of my parents will surely say NO to me. Well, I don't blame them. They just love me too much. But, the 'evil horn' was out this time. 4 of us went for the roller coaster ride. LOL! I believe the whole theme park could hear the voices of these 4 teachers! It was really my first time. I did not know what to expect so I screamed out loud as I was really scared and there was no turning back.

Spaceshot, which is the most exciting compare to Cyclone and Flying Coaster, is the tallest in the whole theme park. With all my courage, I get my butt to the seat. I prayed hard and in my heart I kept calling JC. Crazy thoughts came to mind yet another side fought back saying that life and death is in God's hand and after all it is just a game. The whole experience of Spaceshot? Well, you will find out. All I could say is thrilling, scary, exciting and prepare for the worst fear if you are afraid of falling like me.

The rest of the game in the theme park was not as exciting as these two. I played again and again... HAHA... most of all, the companies of good friends. Playing dumbo was the greatest and most joyful among all. We all really wondered why. Well, I guess that innocent and simple are the most happy moment in life. Riding on the dumbo gave us the moment of childhood innocent and we can just put everything aside and not to worry.

I went home safely. I thank God for I am safe after playing all the crazy things in the theme park. Also, I feel that I am into another stage of life where I finally stepped out at least once or twice out of my comfort zone to do things I have no courage to do.

Do take coffee if you really need it but do not over the limit of 1 to 3 cups a day. Lastly, enjoy your youth and teen as a teen, you will regret one day if you don't have life like a teen.

"Teacherhood"

Many people would ask "Why be a teacher?". They would give reasons not to be a teacher such as "It's a very stressful job, The pay is low, The students are ungrateful".

From what I can see though, teachers become teachers for a few reasons, among them lack of education so they are unable to pursue higher standings. Secondly, as an ambition. I'm sure many of us in our younger age have written the famed "Cita - cita saya" essay and and aspired to be a teacher.

All I can say is that passion is of utmost importance.. There is no use pursuing anything if we have no passion because without it we can't wholly put our hearts into it.

This afternoon we heard from Puan Thilaham that we may have scared Ms. Chee out of her decision of becoming a teacher and all I would like to say is this;

If teaching has been your dream since young, if you receive great pleasure from teaching a single child literature or a new word, If you are not afraid of sweat and tears or hardship then I on behalf of any of my fellow students who agree with me, encourage you to go through with what you have planned with all your heart.

One day, one of your student might be successful in some way and even though he never said it, deep inside his/her heart there will always be space for the teacher that had helped her through thick and thin.

I'd like to end with thanking Ms. Chee for teaching us and taking the effort to attract our attention.

Thanks for Esther, Carmeny and others who understand my loneliness.

What I want the most during my last day is not the biggest gift but your last farewell good bye and a hand shake for our friendship. 

I am not complaining... the word is not so right :P ... but telling you what I hope the most during my last day... It sounds like I am so self-centred if I am complaining... You all give me a wonderful memory as you all are talented in many ways. 

But... 

Where were most of you when what I want the most is your presence and our friendship hand shake and hugs?

I sat alone in staff room with Kok Fei helping me to jot down who handed in what and what... My friends have their students surrounded them to say goodbye for the last time...They brought in joy and appreciation into the staff room... They thanked me too and they even gave me gifts when I don't even teach them...

I just sat down quietly to mark all of your books... yet, there were more and more pilling up on my table when I walked away to run another errand.

I wrote and jotted down what you have done in the name list which I typed... carefully tick each column so that I won't miss out any...

Tears come out but other students from other classes came to hug me and shake hands with me... give me gifts, their handmade photo album and cards to thank me...

Some of you gave me the most wonderful cards which are handmade gifts and cards and cards with their handwriting and signature... (I still feel very happy when I look at these gifts and handmade cards, they are on my desk now. I must acknowlege them yet I won't reveal their identity as I promised)... There was one from 4C who came to see me b4 school ends... Gosh, I was so happy yet some disappointment filled me... His presense speaks a thousand words... this is because I longed to see my beloved and talented 4C... what I wish for on my last day is them... come to see me for the last time...

I was evaluating myself...

Have I been a strict and heartless teacher when I present myself in class?... Strict and serious in teaching because I want to cut the precious gems God puts into my hands so that by the end of the day when I leave them I could see shinny and beautiful diamonds formed.

Have I covered everything I am supposed to do as a professional teacher? I checked myself and I am sure I did all I have to do. Even finished marking the last min exercise books which I could have just rejected as I was told...

I used the last class which is only less than 30 min for myself to enjoy the last moment with you all coz I don't want to use any of your lesson for my personal attention then we have less one class to cover what we suppose to study. I hope you all could understand the reason behind cannot have fun most of the time. 

Lastly, I want to apologise too if I have done anything wrong that made you upset. I wanted to say this to all of you... during the last class... It was so rushing that I forgot too... 

I have spoken my heart and my thoughts. Don't keep feeling sorry and stay even further from me. I am not as hard to reach as you thought (this is one of the comments I often get) Yes, I am serious person YET i could be a HIGH I aka Crazy Person.

Let's us break the ice to come nearer to each other through our blog. I often see big ice among you all in your class. COME ON! LoOsSsee Yourself! Let's come together, share with each other and build each other! This blog is what we owned together. It is a meaningful blog in our world, at least my world.

   I guess that when i saw MsJeneft's blog , i knew that 4A and 4F were determined to give her the best before her departure from the school . Though , yes , we might not be able to pull such an amazing thing , ( kudos carmen for the explanation , [ lack of unity :P , no offense ] ) we certainly did things our own way .. We did aplenty .. even doing shoutouts for the food blog and many others..

CongratZ to Sean Chung and Ramaraj for bringing Malaysia a formidable team of scrabble players ( I am a reserve and am not sure of attending the tournament , thus , counting me out ) ! They will be joined by Penang's Msia No.2 Ong Suanne , as well as fellow Malaysians , Ian Tay , Scott Chung , Bryan Lim  , William Kang , Ker Jen Ho , Ching Sang Song , Khoo Beng Way and Alvin Lau .. The tournament is in Penang ..

Last Class for Chee... another begin for 'C' - class

I turn the sad ending of leaving 4C into writing blogs to keep in touch. I hope the passion of keeping in touch with you all will keep me updating the blog. It is the last class for me but it is another begining to move on to another part of life.  The movement has just BEGAN! 

I am still happy that I teach you all. If you ask me again and again 'Why do you want to become a teacher?", I will share it here. 

It all begins with the stupid innocent thoughts of want to influence and change the world in whatever way I can. I want my life to be a meaningful one...

People could label poeple with the clothes and the brand they use, the shape and faces they have, the amount of digit in their bank, the husband she has... I am not saying that being successful and wealthy is wrong. However, I see that nothing will last in this world. I want my life to be used by God and hope that one day someone would label me with 'great virtue' and virtue is what will not fate away. (Glory all the God, I am nothing withouht Him). I live only once and I am deeply moved by the love of God who is willing to lay down His life for us. 

Secondly, again, it begins with the innocent passion of wanting to influence and change the world. HOW? :)

School is the medium to reach out to people, from the poorest to the richest, to teach, influence and shape them. Look at the society now, how poeple behave on the road, how people being inconsiderate in many ways, how closed-minded and ignorant we could be sometimes.

"WHY THEY SO LIKE THAT ONE?" Good complaint and scolding! Where do they learn their manner and values? Other than at home, religious education... where else? School... To change the society and the nation, we should begin in school other than home and so on. School. Again, if no one else willing to teach and mould the generation... who else? :)
